If his daughter got twice as much money as each of his sons, how much did his daughter get?

Working Backwards

Roy and John had an equal amount of money.
Each day, Roy spent $6 and John spent $10.
When John had $7 left, Roy had 5 times as much money left as John.
How much money did each of them have at first?

Please remind your friends to do your homework. I hope not to feel disappointed again like today where half of the class did not do the weekend homework.

The word of the day is

5th July 2011~ Choose Day! Heh. I meant Tuesday!

Alright! Here's the homework for today!

Homework

  • Maths Workbook Practice 2 pages 11-14
  • 1-WAD: brilliantly and beware (yesterday's 4th July 2011)
Notes
  • Some students did not do their decimals assignment during the weekend which was actually a survey to see how many students actually visit the blog. I hope the parents who are reading this share this blog with other parents whose child may have yet to tell their parents about it. I may be issuing a letter informing parents about the blog and the routine assignments so as to give them more awareness about the things done in class.
  • The timetable has been changed and will be given to the children tomorrow.
  • English Spelling List for Week 1 and 2 have been given to them. As the printing demands was rather high and thus the spelling list is delayed. I might squeeze in a double spelling session in a week.
  • The two students who still owe me money for the class photographs, please remember to bring them this week.
For a side research, do remember to find out the name for the flag that I showed in class just now. :)

See you tomorrow!

Things for Tomorrow - Tuesday 5th July 2011

Hey everyone,

Hope you had a good long weekend!

Don't forget the decimals homework and the Tables and Graphs Topical Worksheet~

I've finished marking your revision 1 homework, hopefully we can go through the corrections tomorrow.

A lot of us are pretty weak in models, so I'm going to start a daily model drawing question inside your maths practice book.

Please also remember to bring your 1-WAD exercise book tomorrow. For those who already have it, here's the word for today:

beware

Hope you bring your homework tomorrow! See you!
